The support for all types of renewable energy is provided via Renewable Energy Target (RET). The RET is separated into two categories: The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) and the Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET). This is to help and support the development of large scale and small scale renewable energy generators.

    • Small Scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES):

The SRES was created to help with the cost of installing a solar PV system for households, small business and community. This scheme is operated by providing the Small-scale Technology Certificate to qualified households. This solar system has an almost 30 years of functional lifespan.

    • Large Scale Renewable Energy Scheme (LRET):

LGC only operates by commercial and utility scale renewable energy generation systems through 100kW. Large-scale gives a continuous revenue stream for their operators.
